The Mountains We Climb—On the Trail and In Our Minds
Some days, life feels just like a mountain: huge, wild, and hard to conquer. Standing at the base, looking up, it’s easy to wonder if you have what it takes to reach the summit. But here’s the truth I’ve learned—no mountain is impossible. Whether you’re trekking through the wilds of Alaska or facing a challenge that feels insurmountable, you are far more powerful than you realize.
Most of the tallest peaks we’ll ever face aren’t made of rock and snow—they’re built from self-doubt, fear, and the struggles we carry inside. If you’re climbing one of those mental mountains right now, know this: you’re not alone. We all have days when the trail is steep and the air feels thin. But every step forward—no matter how slow—is a victory. Keep pressing on. You’re stronger than you know.
But there’s another mountain we’re facing together—a challenge that affects us all. Right now, a government bill is being pushed by Senator Mike Lee out of Utah to sell off public lands. These wild places are more than scenery; they’re our shared heritage, our freedom, and the future we pass on. The land shapes us, tests us, and gives us room to grow. Let’s stand up for the places that make us who we are. Take action and raise your voice—public lands belong to all of us.
